please add a "last updated" information?

lostman65 1 year ago in Website (larimer.org) updated 1 year ago 3

i have no idea when these maps were last updated.  i feel like they are a little behind the current weather conditions... but do not know.  i live 8 miles from the trail and i am always driving out there to double check that the trails are actually open or closed.

information about when the conditions were updated would be nice.  if it is somewhere it is not easily found.

Here is an update on date / timestamps on trail status posts:

"We heartily debated whether to include a time stamp with each update, but ultimately decided not to since many conditions remain the same for months (sometimes years) and would require regular updates to change the date. That wouldn't be hard for the County, since we have only a few parks and open spaces. It would have been daunting for the City, especially Parks with all those small trails."

If you find a status on the page that does not match the true status please let us know. The status posted should be real time as it is entered directly by staff in the field.

Again thank you for the feedback. As always, I pass the comments on to the departments/teams that support the service.

Cheers,

Gregg

BAD, I'M UNSATISFIED

The point of my suggestion was that if you posted a date and time of the update we can make judgment calls on our own. for example if i want to ride the trail in the morning i check the status at 6:30 am, but i know that it may have rained a little over night... i would see that the last known condition was updated at 6pm the day before i would probably guess that the trail is going to close in the am.  also if i see that it was updated at 6am that morning, i would know that all is good.

seems pretty straight forward, most state forest websites do this...it's pretty common.

Dear LostMan65,

Just checked in those who keep NoCo Trail report up to data and the trail status, as posted on https://www.larimer.org/naturalresources/trails, is the most recent. If there are status updates missing or incorrect please let us know and we will work to see if their is a disconnect.

Again, thank you for the note.

Cheers,

Gregg
