Unable to schedule my property taxes for a date in the future

beeeyelaser 10 months ago in Website (larimer.org) updated by Dave Seabeck 10 months ago 4

Yes! Today is June 5. I am trying to schedule my 2nd half payments (for 9 properties) for June 14. The ONLY acceptable date that will allow me to add my payment to the cart is the current date (June 5). If I change the date, the "Add to Cart" button disappears. THIS IS A CRITICAL BUG and should be addressed ASAP.

Hello. I have confirmed that the payment portal is behaving as designed. There is a notice on the portal that says, "Payments are only accepted for the current date. Selecting past or future dates will disable the payment feature and the amounts shown will be for informational purposes only." Your comment has been forwarded to the Treasurer's office as feedback. This is probably not the answer you were seeking, but I hope it clarifies the current situation.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The application that handles tax payments is a third-party service. We have passed your message along to the person in Larimer County who works with this vendor and will update you as we have more information. Sorry for your inconvenience in this matter.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the quick response.

Yes, definitely not the answer I was seeking.

As a retired software QA manager, I have additional feedback for all those in the decision and management chain responsible for collecting tax payments.

The application may be behaving as designed, but the design is flawed. This is NOT an enhancement request, this is a bug. Your acceptance of this response from the service provider does a great disservice to taxpayers and the Treasurer's office. Why would Larimer County intentionally make tax payment more difficult?

You must push back on your vendor and have them address this issue ASAP.
